Vikings rookie wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson won’t find himself in the NFC Rookie of the Year conversation because he hasn’t been used enough in the offense, but his kick returning skills are out of this world.
But why hasn’t Patterson been more impactful in the Vikings’ offense?
Bleacher Report cites a Pro Football Focus stat in which Patterson is catching more than 47-percent of his passes behind the line of scrimmage. Sure, Patterson is electric with the ball in his hands, but the report indicates that Patterson isn’t getting open after he passes the line of scrimmage.
As a receiver, Patterson has just 21 receptions for 196 yards and one touchdown.
