As Indianapolis Colts fans prepare for the home game debut of the NFL’s No. 1 draft choice, Andrew Luck, against the Vikings Sunday, the purple’s league-leading quarterback sacker from last year has a strategy in place.
“You’ve got to hit him,” Jared Allen tells the Star Tribune, and not let him “get into a rhythm.”
The Vikings said earlier this week that the defense’s plan for Luck was to get to him “early and often.”
As for the Vikings’ own luck, the team has had very little of it healing up its injured players. WCCO-TV reports that the number of players hurt on its injury report has been lowered from nine to eight.
