Byron Buxton’s torrid streak at the plate continued Sunday in the Twins’ 7-2 win over the Blue Jays.
Buxton homered in each of his last three at-bats and finished 4-for-5 with 5 RBI and 4 runs scored. He also stole his 25th base of the season.
Here’s a look at his first two homers. The third looked a lot like the first.

It’s been a tale of two halves for the 23-year-old former No. 2 overall pick.
Buxton was hitting .195 and had a .552 OPS on July 3. Since then, he’s been killing opposing pitchers to the tune of a .356 average with 9 homers, 23 RBI, 28 runs and 10 stolen bases.
The craziest part of Buxton’s rise is that he’s taken that .552 OPS all the way up to .883.
Eight of his 13 homers on the season have come in his last 16 games.
Byron Buxton: 3-HR game.
Entering today, he had never had a 2-HR game. Buxton has 25 HR in his career and 8 have come this month.
