The Minnesota Twins are on a three-game losing streak, they fell to the Los Angeles Angels 11-8 at Target Field on Thursday night.
It was another long drawn out contest, just one night after Minnesota fell in a 12 inning series finale to Detroit on Wednesday.
The Twins took the early lead by scoring five runs in the bottom of the first inning – highlighted by a three-run homer from Torii Hunter, the 351st of his career.
That was one of four home runs in the game for the Angels – including two by Trout. He finished the night 2-for-2 with the two home runs, five RBIs, and three runs scored.
David Freese was 3-for-5 with a run scored and Taylor Featherston was 2-for-4 with a home run two RBIs and two runs scored.
Hunter led the Twins, he was 2-for-5 with the home run three RBIs and two runs scored.

Eddie Rosario was 2-for-4 with a run scored and Aaron Hicks homered.
The Twins burned through six pitchers again on Thursday night, just one night after the 12 inning loss to Detroit on Wednesday night. Reliever A.J. Achter (0-1), who gave up the grand slam to Trout was tagged with the loss.
Since Houston lost the Twins didn’t lose any ground in the American League wild card race, but the Angels are now just one game behind the Twins in the race.
The series continues on Friday night as Minnesota sends Mike Pelfrey (6-8) to the mound against Angels rookie Andrew Heaney (6-3).
