The Golden Gophers men’s hockey team extended its unbeaten streak to seven Saturday night with a win over Vermont 3-1, reported The Associated Press.
The Gophers went up 2-o in the second period by scoring two goals in a span of 1:10. Vermont cut the lead to 2-1 in the third period, but the Gophers sealed the game with an empty-net goal with 54 seconds remaining.
Freshman goalie Adam Wilcox had 26 saves in the net for the Gophers.
