Aaron Hicks delivered his second hit of the season at a key time for the Twins, driving in the winning run in a 4-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles Sunday.
Pinch-hitter Chris Parmelee’s sacrifice fly had driven in the tying run just before Hicks’ hit. Justin Morneau’s two-run double scored the Twins’ first runs.
Fresh off the injured list, Anthony Swarzak was the winning pitcher in relief. Glen Perkins pitched a perfect ninth with two strikeouts for his second save. Starter Pedro Hernandez allowed three runs in five innings. He started in place of injured Cole De Vries.
