Not that Timberwolves fans needed more proof that Karl-Anthony Towns is a rising superstar in the NBA, but we’ll tell you about it anyway.
The Wolves youngster will grace the cover of 2K’s mobile companion app for the NBA 2K17 video game. It was announced earlier this summer that Towns had joined Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, Kevin Durant, Andre Drummond, Draymond Green and Paul George on Team 2K.
According to FOX News, it’s the latest in a series of high-profile endorsements for the NBA’s Rookie of the Year.
“I’ve been a dedicated NBA 2K fan since I was young, and being selected as the face of MyNBA2K17 is an incredible milestone this early in my career,” Towns said in a statement Wednesday. “Playing MyNBA2K and NBA2K is an essential part of my offseason and keeps me grounded during the season with all my travel.”
Not bad for someone who’s just 20-years-old.
