A sixth straight trip to the playoffs can be secured by the Minnesota Wild as soon as tonight.
According to Wild media relations maven Aaron Sickman, all the Wild have to do is beat the Oilers tonight and have the Avalanche lose in regulation to the Kings.
It appears the #mnwild magic # to clinch its sixth consecutive trip to the Stanley Cup Playoffs is still four points as COL, LA and STL can all get to 99. A Wild win and a regulation loss by the Avs at LA tonight would clinch it for Minnesota.
