With the announcement of Minnesota being the 2014 home for the annual Hockey City Classic, it seems as if Christmas has come early for Minnesota hockey fans.
This should keep you puckheads on the edge of your seats, with 2014 Hockey Day in Minnesota matchups made official today.
It should make for one of the greatest weekends in the history of hockey for the state, with The Classic falling on the 17th of January, and Hockey Day taking place on the 18th.
Here’s the TV schedule for Hockey Day 2014 on Fox Sports North:
10:15 A.M.: Rochester Lourdes vs. Cloquet/Esko/Carlton (boys)
1:00 P.M.: Elk River vs. Stillwater (boys)
4:00 P.M.: Elk River vs. Anoka (girls)
All the high school games will be held at Handle Pit in Elk River.
Later that night, the Gophers and Wild will cap off the extravaganza.
5:00 P.M.: Gopher men vs. Ohio State @ Mariucci Arena
8:00 P.M.: Wild vs. Dallas @ Xcel
Let the four month frenzy to January 17 and 18 begin.
