The Vikings announced their final injury report of the week on Friday and linebacker Erin Henderson will not play.
Henderson hasn’t been at practice for three days because of a personal reason. It’s a curious case because coach Leslie Frazier won’t divulge any further details about Henderson’s personal situation.
“Not at this point,” Frazier said, via the Star Tribune. “But at some point I probably will be able to. But not at this point.”
Henderson leads the Vikings with 93 tackles, according to Vikings.com.
With Henderson out the Vikings will turn to second year player Audi Cole to start at middle linebacker.
Cole was cut by the Vikings on Nov. 7 before being resigned the following week.
“It’s not what you want to happen,” Cole told Ben Goessling of ESPN.com. “I understand why they did it. Someone had to go; I wish it wasn’t me but it was. You’ve just got to take it. It sucked, I came back and things have been going good for me lately.”
The best news of the day is that center John Sullivan cleared his concussion tests and he’ll play against the Packers.
