The Seattle Seahawks are already one of the best teams in the NFL, and they’ll soon be adding Percy Harvin to the mix.
Seattle coach Pete Carroll told ESPN 710 radio on Monday that Harvin’s return is closing in.
“He is getting very close,” he said. “Everybody should be very encouraged that he’s not too far off now.”
Harvin, who has been rehabbing a torn labrum he suffered in July, is eligible to come off the physically unable to perform list this week, but Carroll said three days ago that he doesn’t expect Harvin to play in Seattle’s week seven game at Arizona.
“I don’t think that is realistic,” Carroll said last week. “I think that is too soon to expect that to happen.”
Seattle’s week seven game is Thursday night, so Harvin returning week eight on Monday Night Football against the Rams makes more sense, based on what Carroll says.
Harvin hasn’t played in an NFL game since suffering an injury Nov. 4 of last season when the Vikings played the Seahawks.
