The Vikings now have three Pro Bowl players.
Vikings safety Harrison Smith will replace the Seahawks’ Earl Thomas (who is injured) in this Sunday’s contest, Vikings.com says.
The 26-year-old had 66 tackles, a forced fumble, 2 interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) and 1.5 sacks this past season – his fourth since coming into the NFL from Notre Dame.
Pro Football Focus graded Smith as the best safety in the NFL this past season.

The Vikings now have three Pro Bowlers: Smith, Adrian Peterson (the only Viking initially selected) and Everson Griffen (stepping in for Houston’s J.J. Watt)
The Pro Bowl is Sunday, Jan. 31, at 6 p.m. CST. The team will once again be divided based on former player – this time it’s Team Rice vs. Team Irving.
