The Minnesota Vikings defense is looking pretty beat up as the team began preparing to play Arizona Thursday night.
Just one day after falling to Seattle 38-7 on Sunday, the Vikings were missing seven defensive players – including four regular starters – as they returned to practice Monday.
Nose tackle Linval Joseph (foot), linebacker Anthony Barr (groin), safety Harrison Smith (hamstring), safety Antone Exum (undisclosed), safety Robert Blanton (right knee), and linebacker Brandon Watts (undisclosed) did not participate.

Safety Andrew Sendejo (knee) did very little during team drills, but did participate in walk throughs.
The Pioneer Press notes that with Smith, Sendejo, Blanton and Exum all on the sideline, the Vikings do not have any other safeties going through workouts on Monday.

The Vikings have just three days to get healthy for Thursday night’s game against the Cardinals. The team is expected to issue an injury report later this evening.
