The accolades continue to pile up for Gophers senior defensive tackle Ra’Shede Hageman.
The 6-foot-6, 311-pound redshirt senior from Minneapolis was named a third-team All-American by the Associated Press on Tuesday.
SB Nation named him a first-team All-American. He received one more vote than Arizona State’s Will Sutton, who is on the first team for almost every other All-America team.
Hageman didn’t make any of Sports Illustrated’s All-American teams. He did get a small mention in the honorable mention section.
He didn’t show up at all on CBSSports.com’s list of teams.
Hageman was named a first-team All-Big Ten selection by the coaches and media earlier this month. He led the Gophers with 11 tackles for loss and nine pass breakups – an astounding number for a college defensive tackle.
On Monday he accepted an invitation to play in the Senior Bowl, an annual game between the nation’s top draft eligible players.
