Greg Jennings says he signed with the Minnesota Vikings, in part, because he felt like “the window is opening for this ball club.”
In a radio chat with Vikings play-by-play man Paul Allen, Jennings also said the New England Patriots tried to sign him.
As for Christian Ponder, he says the young quarterback needs to “work on accuracy outside the pocket, but that will come. He can make every throw on the field.”
The Packers, meanwhile, apparently drew a line in the sand when it came to re-signing Jennings. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Green Bay offered Jennings $8 million a year, but Jennings passed.
The Vikings signed him for about $9 million a year. In 2012, the paper also says Jennings turned down $11 million a year from the Pack.
