The Vikings certainly won’t have an identity crisis when the team temporarily moves to TCF Bank Stadium come fall.
The Star Tribune says the Vikings and the Gophers will have their own logos at the field for home games over the next two years while the Vikings new stadium is being built.
According to a Gophers spokesman, the team’s historic Block “M” will be at midfield and the Big Ten logos will be at the 25-yard lines on the field for University of Minnesota games; while the Vikings will have its traditional Norseman logo at midfield and NFL logos at the 25.
The hash marks will also be altered to accommodate each Gophers and Vikings game.
As for the end zones, those plans are still up in the air, the Star Tribune says. Right now only the word “Minnesota” in all capital letters in both end zones.
The field recently had a hydronic heating system installed to accommodate cold weather play for the Vikings.

The Vikings will play their first game of the year at TCF Bank Stadium Aug. 8 in a match-up against the Oakland Raiders. The team’s regular season home opener will be Sept. 14 against the New England Patriots.
