The second-ranked Gophers tied the University of Minnesota-Duluth 2-2 in Western Collegiate Hockey Association play Saturday night at Mariucci Arena, The Associated Press reports.
The Gophers, with goals by Tom Serratore and Mike Reilly, had a 2-1 after two periods, but UMD’s Jake Hendrickson scored midway through the third period to tie up the score for good.
The Gophers (21-6-5, 13-6-5 in the WCHA) will next take on Denver Friday at Mariucci Arena.
In other WCHA hockey action, St. Cloud State University defeated Colorado College 5-2 Saturday night in Colorado Springs.
