The Golden Gophers men’s basketball team finished 2-1 and won the consolation round in the Bahamas Saturday after beating Stanford 66-63 at the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, the Star Tribune reported.
Sophomore Andre Hollins nabbed the victory for the Gophers after sinking three free throws after he was fouled at the buzzer.
The victory came a day after Hollins led the Gophers over No. 19 Memphis 84-79.
The team improved to 6-1 with the win Saturday.
The Gophers hit the court again Tuesday when they take on Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla., in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
