MINNEAPOLIS — Four Gophers scored in double figures as Minnesota topped the Richmond Spiders 72-57at Williams Arena Sunday night in a Big 10 vs. Atlantic 10 clash.
Rodney Williams led all Minnesota scorers with 15 points. Trevor Mbakwe played his best game of the young season, coming off the bench to pull down 12 rebounds and score nine points.
Minnesota trailed by seven points midway through the second half before going on a 12-0 run to take control of the game.
Next stop? Paradise, for a tougher test.
The Gophers take their 4-0 record to the Bahamas on Thanksgiving to play No. 9 Duke in the Battle for Atlantistournament.
