The Gophers released the official depth chart for Thursday’s season opener against UNLV. There weren’t any major surprises, other than all four punters on the roster were listed as possible starters.
That’s not even a surprise, it’s just sort of weird.
Chris Hawthorne won the battle for the starting kicker job.

The injury report also came out and starting safety Derrick Wells (shoulder/hamstring) is questionable. Freshman running back Berkley Edwards, the younger brother of NFL wide receiver Braylon Edwards, is out with a sprained ankle.
