After routing the University of Vermont over the weekend the Gopher men’s hockey team moved up to third in both major NCAA hockey polls. Minnesota also moved up three spots to No. 10 in the Pairwise rankings.
The schedule is about to get very tough for the Gophers, who play this weekend at home against Nebraska-Omaha. It will be a battle of two teams riding six-game unbeaten streaks. UNO is 6-0 over that stretch while the Gophers are 4-0-2.
Meanwhile, Minnesota-Duluth is on the road at Michigan Tech, Bemidji State travels to Minnesota State Mankato, North Dakota plays at Colorado College, Denver hosts Wisconsin and Alaska Anchorage is hosting St. Cloud State. Check out each series preview right here.
