It’s been publicized for more than a month already, but the Gophers versus Oklahoma State men’s college basketball game at U.S. Bank Stadium is officially happening on Nov. 30.
The announcement came Tuesday, and it’s great for more than just the Gophers. The U.S. Bank Stadium Classic will feature three other games, including the University of St. Thomas, North Dakota State University, South Dakota State University, Wisconsin-River Falls, Drake, and Northern Iowa.
- St. Thomas vs. Wisconsin-River Falls, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m.
- Gophers vs. Oklahoma State, Nov. 30 at 8:30 p.m.
- NDSU vs. Drake, Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m.
- SDSU vs. Northern Iowa, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.
“We couldn’t be more excited to take part in the U.S. Bank Stadium Basketball Classic,” said Minnesota head coach Richard Pitino.
Tommies coach John Tauer said their game against River Falls should be fantastic.
“We’ve had many spirited games against River Falls over the last 10-15 years, and to bring that rivalry to this facility will be fun,” Tauer said. “It looks like it will be a terrific weekend of college basketball that should bring fans from Iowa, the Dakotas and Wisconsin.”
