University of Minnesota officials confirmed Thursday that freshman wide receiver Andre McDonald was hospitalized and undergoing tests for a heart problem. McDonald told the Minnesota Daily that has a “little problem with my heart.”
McDonald had one catch for seven yards in two games with the Gophers. He didn’t play in last week’s win over Western Michigan.
Details on the nature of his heart problem are still unknown.
