Minnesota’s road woes continued Wednesday night as they lost to lowly Nebraska, 53-51. The Gophers are now 20-10 overall and 8-9 in the Big Ten, but just 1-7 on the road in conference games.
The Gophers were once again an awful free throw shooting team, hitting just 10-of-20 at the charity stripe.
How about the three-point shooting? That, too, was bad. They hit just 4-of-14.
Big Ten Network had an even better stat, noting that Minnesota finished with zero fast break points.
Trevor Mbakwe led the way with 15 points and 6 rebounds.
Minnesota closes the regular season on Saturday at Purdue.
