A rising star on the high school basketball circuit says he’s narrowed his college choice to three schools, including the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Austin Crowley, a 6-foot-6 combo guard who is rated as a four-star prospect in the Class of 2019 by 247 Sports, named the Gophers, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt as his final three. That said, Gonzaga did just enter the mix by sending him an offer after he made trio known.

Gonzaga’s arrival could be a game changer, but Minnesota will have a chance to impress Crowley with its brand new athletic complex and basketball facilities when Crowley is due in town for an official visit beginning Aug. 30, according to Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers.
Crowley is from Mississippi but played his junior season of prep basketball at Sunrise Christian Academy in suburban Wichita, Kansas, the same academy that current Gophers Bakary Konate and Dupree McBrayer attended.
Another connection the Gophers have to Crowley is assistant coach Kyle Lindsted, who spent 15 years building Sunrise Christian Academy into a national powerhouse before spending the last three seasons as an assistant coach at Wichita State. Lindsted was hired by the Gophers in May.
