Find a scalper on Saturday if you plan on going to the Gophers’ homecoming game against the Iowa Hawkeyes.
The game is sold out, according to the Pioneer Press. It’s the first Big Ten sellout for the Gophers since they played the Hawkeyes in 2010.
The last sellout crowd at TCF Bank Stadium was in September of last season when the Gophers hosted a prime-time game against Syracuse.
According to the Star Tribune, the median secondary market price for a ticket to the game is $152 — that’s fifth highest for any college game in the country this week.
Although Philip Nelson has returned to practice, backup quarterback Mitch Leidner is preparing as if he’ll make his second straight start. If he does, it will be his first opportunity to fight for the Floyd of Rosedale.
“We talk about it all the time,” Leidner told Sid Hartman of the Star Tribune. “We have T-shirts with the pig on it. We’re excited and ready to go. We’ve been looking forward to this game. We’re 4-0 and we have some high expectations and we’re just really looking forward to going out there this weekend.”
The Hawkeyes are 1-to-2 point favorites according to most Las Vegas sports books.
