Tubby Smith’s message to his players is to “forget” the loss to Indiana and move onto the next game.
That next game is a big one against No. 5 Michigan on Thursday night.
Slow starts have been an issue for Minnesota, and Smith believes a “lack of aggressiveness” in the first half is one of the reasons they lost to Indiana.
The game features two of the Big Ten’s top point guards — Trey Burke of Michigan and Andre Hollins of the Gophers.
Burke outdueled Hollins in last year’s Big Ten tournament.
Burke is widely considered the top point guard in the country. Check out the move he put on Minnesota last year.
