The hockey Gophers led through two periods at Colorado College Saturday night, but a surge by the Tigers in the third period led to a 4-4 tie, The Associated Press reports.
The No. 4 Gophers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period, but the No. 19 Tigers scored early in the second to narrow the gap. The Gopher scored another goal by the end of the second to widen their lead again, 4-1.
The Gophers blew their three goal lead in the third when the Tigers scored three goals to even the score.
In other WCHA action, Minnesota State-Mankato beat Anchorage 3-0, while St. Cloud State defeated Nebraska-Omaha 2-1.
Bemidji State topped the University of Minnesota-Duluth 2-1.
