Minneapolis native Jordan Taylor led the Wisconsin Badgers to a 68-61 overtime victory over the Gophers at Williams Arena on Thursday night.
The Gophers trailed 49-36 with 9:17 left in the game before out-scoring the Badgers 15-2 in the final nine-minutes, sending the game to overtime tied at 51.
Minnesota’s momentum didn’t carry over into the extra session, as Wisconsin scored the first six points to take a 57-51 lead, and they never looked back. The Gophers were out-scored 17-10 in the overtime period.
Jordan Taylor scored a game-high 27 points. Austin Hollins led Minnesota with 20 points.
Minnesota plays Wisconsin again, in Madison, on February 28.
