Rodney Williams and the Gophers are headed to the N.I.T. Elite Eight after destroying the Miami Hurricanes, 78-60 Monday night. Williams scored a game-high 21 points, 16 of which came in the first half. Minnesota plays Middle Tennessee Wednesday night. The winner advances to play at Madison Square Garden in the Final Four.
Andre Hollins and Joe Coleman each scored 14 points. Julian Welch added 13 points off the bench.
