Alex Kile had a hat trick and Kyle Conner scored a pair of goals to lead the Michigan Wolverines to a 6-2 victory over the Gophers at Mariucci Arena Thursday night.

Wolverines goaltender Steve Racine made 31 saves, helping the Wolverines build a 6-0 lead before the Gophers were able to get on the scoreboard in the third period.
Steve Johnson and Tommy Novak scored the only Gophers goal.
Eric Schierhorn stopped just 18 shots in net for Minnesota. The Gophers outshot Michigan 33-24 on the night.
The series continues on Friday at Mariucci Arena.
