The Gophers broke the tie towards the end of the second, when Nate Condon put Minnesota on top 2-1 with a goal off of assists from Mike Reilly and Sam Warning.
Fasching gave the Gophers a two goal lead moments later, putting Minnesota up 3-1.
It looked like it might stay that way until the game’s final 30-seconds when Seth Ambroz picked up a power play goal in the game’s closing seconds.
