The University of North Dakota is hoping the sixth time will be the charm if it wants to advance in the NCAA women’s hockey tournament.
UND faces the undefeated Golden Gophers Saturday at Ridder Arena, the Star Tribune reports. The winner advances to the Frozen Four the following weekend, also at Ridder Arena.
Both teams locked up Saturday night for the WCHA title, which Minnesota took, 2-0.
The Gophers (38-0) have now won 46 consecutive games, with its last loss to North Dakota on Feb, 17, 2012.
