The Gopher women’s hockey team came from behind to beat the top-ranked Wisconsin Badgers 2-1 in overtime Saturday afternoon at LaBahn Arena in Madison, and complete a two-game sweep of their series, according to Gophersports.com.
Wisconsin led the game 1-0 for most of regulation. But senior captains Rachel Ramsey and Rachael Bona both scored late goals for Minnesota to get the win. Bona tied the game with 1:28 left in regulation, and Ramsey scored the game winner with 1 minute left in OT – her first goal of the year.
One of the most exciting gms I've been a part of as Gophers coach! Down 1 with 3 mins left and win in OT 2-1. Great toughness shown! #AllIn
