The Gopher women’s basketball team lost to Indiana 66-58 in their opening game of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday.
It was a game the Gophers probably needed to win to have a shot at making the NCAA Tournament, but they won’t know for sure until the NCAA Selection Show takes place a week from next Monday.
Destiny Pitts led the Gophers with 25 points on a night the Gophers shot poorly from the field, hitting just 20-of-64 shots, including a dreadful 1-of-15 on 3-pointers.
We’ll be sure to follow up with Minnesota’s NCAA Tournament or National Invitational Tournament chances in the days to come.
