Gopher volleyball rallies to reach final 8 of NCAA tournament

The Gopher volleyball team rallied Friday night for a 3-2 victory over Florida to advance to the NCAA tournament quarterfinals.

Minnesota, the No. 7 overall seed, and Florida (No. 10) traded sets before Minnesota took the final set 15-11 to secure the 3-2 victory. Minnesota advanced to face Louisville in the quarterfinals (like the Elite 8 in college basketball).

Minnesota and Louisville, which upset No. 2 Texas, will battle for a trip to the Final Four Friday at 9 p.m. Central Time. The Final Four will be played Dec. 19-21.
