Thanks to Mother Nature dumping 6-10 inches of snow throughout most of the Twin Cities, nobody gets to go watch the annual Gopher football spring game.
The Saturday scrimmage was scheduled to start at 11 a.m. at TCF Bank Stadium, but because of the snowstorm the University of Minnesota made the decision to move the game inside to a practice field at Athlete’s Village.
“Due to limited crowd space, the game will no longer be open to the public,” the Gophers said a in a release.
The only way you can watch it now is:
- If you’re a member of the media, you can go see it in person.
- If you subscribe to BTN2Go (the only live broadcast)
- If you watch the replay at 3 p.m. Saturday on Big Ten Network.
You can also listen to a broadcast of the game on the Gopher Radio Network, which in the Twin Cities is on KFAN 100.3 FM.
That’s not the only punch to the gut for fans. All fan-related activities that were scheduled for Saturday have been cancelled, although head coach P.J. Fleck has promised to host an event next fall where fans can interact with coaches and players.
