After adding three-star receiver Melvin Holland Jr. earlier this week, head coach Jerry Kill has landed another pass-catching threat to his recruiting class, with Ohio receiver Isaiah Gentry agreeing to join the football program Wednesday.
Gentry, a senior at Moeller High School in Cincinnati, previously committed to Kent State, marking the second recruit this week Kill and staff have persuaded to decommit from another school. The first was offensive lineman Jared Weyler, who committed to Minnesota just hours after Holland Jr. Monday, originally saying he would go to Bowling Green.
Rivals.com has the Moeller High School senior as the 65th-best wideout in the country, and the 22nd-best recruit in Ohio. He averaged 25 yards per completion this season, and poses a serious red zone threat, standing 6’4″ and boasting a 35-inch vertical.
