Minnesota is certainly no stranger to the Mountain West Conference. According to 1500 ESPN, the Gophers are 4-0 against teams from the conference since 2012.
Minnesota has beaten both UNLV and San Jose State twice since 2012. Additionally, Minnesota starts a home-and-home series with Colorado State in Ft. Collins this season.

The Bulldogs will come to TCF Bank Stadium in 2018, while the Gophers will travel to Fresno in 2019.
With the Big Ten Conference expanding to nine games in 2016, it will change the way the future schedule looks.
The Star Tribune notes that Minnesota plays TCU, Colorado State, Kent State and Ohio in its non-conference schedule this year. In 2016, it will be just Oregon State, Indiana State and Colorado State, all at TCF Bank Stadium.
In 2017 Minnesota hosts Buffalo before traveling to Oregon State, then will have a home game against Middle Tennessee State.
In 2018, Minnesota will host New Mexico State, Fresno State and Miami of Ohio, and in 2019 they host South Dakota State, but play at Fresno State.
