Wolves fans’ moods on Sunday will depend largely on how the return of Kevin Love to the Target Center goes tonight.
But one thing that should cheer them up is the return of Ricky Rubio, with sources telling The Associated Press‘ Jon Krawczynski the star point guard will return on Monday at the Dallas Mavericks.
Rubio signed a four-year $54 million extension shortly before he broke down with an ankle injury on November 7, and as of tonight will have missed 43 games.
Would've been nice to see Rubio back tonight against K-Love and the Cavs, but Wolves are being very careful with their franchise PG

The Wolves had got off to a bright start to the season prior to his injury, but have since slumped to the bottom of the league, with Friday’s loss to the Flyers sending them to 8-38.
He’ll be eased back into the team though, with the Wolves cautious about rushing his return from injury.
Sources tell AP that Ricky Rubio will be on a minutes restriction until after the All-Star break to see how his ankle responds.

His return will increase hopes of the Wolves ending the season on a high, having recently welcomed back Nikola Pekovic and Kevin Martin, while Andrew Wiggins’ form has put him in line to be named rookie of the month for the third consecutive month.
