This is supposed to be a bounce back year for Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, but a painful landing on his left shoulder after making a great catch on the first day of training camp put a dent in his chances.
Patterson groaned in pain and reportedly didn’t move his left arm as he walked off the field, but ESPN’s Ben Goessling is reporting that Patterson’s injury is minor and it won’t take him long to get back on the field.

Patterson was a Pro Bowl return man and a dynamic offensive threat as a rookie but has since put together back-to-back mediocre seasons. He caught just 2 passes all of last year.
Meanwhile, Adrian Peterson worked out alone on the sidelines due to a hamstring pull he suffered before training camp, according to Yahoo Sports.
”He can do things. He just can’t turn it all the way. So we’re just being careful,” coach Mike Zimmer said.
