Here’s a just-for-fun, college football offseason update: mascots with googly eyes.
It started with this – an album of college football mascots that have googly eyes pasted over their real eyes. It was posted to /r/CFB on Reddit, where it quickly jumped to the top of the page. Here’s an example (but there are a lot more in the album):
The Goldy the Gophers Twitter account quickly saw the thread, and replied – with its own addition.

Worth noting though, that image isn’t new. It was actually tweeted two years ago, with the Goldy account writing in part, “(well played, hilariously-over-sized-googly-eye-owning vandal).”
The University of Minnesota Police Department decided to have a little fun with it too:
We just thought @GoldytheGopher was surprised! @RedditCFB

Is there anything else to this story? Nope, just a fun bit.
But, if you’re looking for more Golden Gophers football news, keep an eye on the later rounds of the NFL Draft this week.
CBS Sports has nine Gophers in their list of draft prospects, with cornerback Eric Murray and linebacker De’Vondre Campbell projected to go in the 5th or 6th round, and cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun possibly later (or as an undrafted free agent).
