The Minnesota Twins snapped a couple of losing streaks when they beat the Kansas City Royals 10-1 on Friday night.
Ron Gardenhire missed the game for the Twins as he is attending a funeral, but the Twins found elusive quality pitching and the bats.
The win for Minnesota snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Royals at Target Field and a nine game home losing streak.

Kyle Gibson gave the Twins just their second quality start of the season. Gibson pitched well giving up one run in 6 1/3 innings of work. He struck out three in the game, earning his second win of the season.
Trevor Plouffe went 3-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Chris Colabello had another big night for the Twins. He drove in three runs, and finished 2-3 on the night with a single and a double. The three RBI allowed Colabello to tie for the lead in the American League for RBIs.
Right now, Chris Colabello is tied for the MLB lead with 14 RBI.

Josmil Pinto homered his second of the season.
Pinto’s homer and Colabello’s two-run double both came during a five-run fourth inning that broke the game open.
The run support was more than enough for Gibson who was dealing. He gave up one run in the first after shortstop Pedro Florimon bobbled a ground ball and the Twins failed to turn a double-play.
Florimon was able to recover to get the out at first, but the Royals used that miscue and turned it into a run.
Gibson worked into the seventh inning, and Brian Duensing and Anthony Swarzak finished the remainder of the game from the bullpen.
The Twins (4-6) host the Royals again on Saturday afternoon.
