The Twins are improving the fan experience at Target Field with a center field renovation project.
Twins President Dave St. Peter announced Monday plans for a two-part redesign in center field that will result in “multi-level fan gathering spaces.”
The upper level will feature a pub-style space called “Minnie & Paul’s.” It’ll be open to all fans while providing drink rails, a variety of seating options and food from local vendors. Whom the food providers are will be announced in the spring.
Beneath Minnie & Paul’s, in the Mezzanine level will be “CATCH,” creatively named after Kirby Puckett’s famous catch against the Braves in the 1991 World Series. This all-inclusive area will be available on a game-by-game basis for about 120 season-ticket holders.
“The Twins are committed to continually improving Target Field with a focus on delivering the best fan experience in professional sports,” St. Peter said. “We’re excited to unveil these unique spaces to our fans with a belief that they make the ballpark better.”
Current center field fan experiences are underutilized, the Twins say.
The new look will be completed in time for the start of the 2016 season.
