Depending on who you ask, most Twins fans will tell you that the greatest Twin of all-time is Kirby Puckett or Harmon Killebrew. Either way, when drawing a comparison, it doesn’t hurt when Ron Gardenhire compares a player to either one.
On Monday Gardenhire told the Pioneer Press that he doesn’t like to compare players, but Josh Willingham “is a little bit like Harmon Killebrew.” He compared how strong Willingham is with his arms and hands and said he is just a powerful right-hander.
In other spring training news ex-Twins manager Tom Kelly has a nickname for catcher Ryan Doumit. He’s calling him Dr. Doom.
