Free agent wide receiver Greg Jennings is expected to meet with Minnesota Vikings officals, according to KFAN-FM 100.3 and other sources.
Jennings, 29, has played his entire 7-year NFL career with the Green Bay Packers, amassing 425 catches for 6,537 yards and 53 touchdowns.
According to SB Nation’s Daily Norseman blog, “…Jennings is apparently torn between the Vikings and the Packers when it comes to his team decision. The money is likely going to be the same in either location…”
Jennings is reportedly seeking $11 million per year.
Whatever the price is, the fact that Jennings is meeting with the Vikings is a sign that Minnesota is set to offer him more than the what the Packers have offerd, according to ESPN NFC North blogger Kevin Siefert.
On ESPN’s “NFL Live” Tuesday, the day the NFL’s free agency period began, Jennings said he was looking forward to the “experience” of free agency and would take his time picking a team.
