Leslie Frazier went without a job in the NFL for about five days.
The former Vikings head coach was fired on Monday, and on Friday he says he inked a deal to become the next defensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Filed to ESPN: Leslie Frazier just text me "going to Tampa." Frazier then told me he will be the next defensive coordinator for the Bucs.

Leslie Frazier just texted me to tell me he told Tampa Bay that he's coming.

Frazier joins former Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith, who was named the Buccaneers head coach on Wednesday.
The Star Tribune says the move makes sense because both Smith and Frazier have experience employing the Tampa 2 defense.
The first word of Frazier possibly going to Tampa Bay came from ESPN’s Ben Goessling late on New Year’s Day.
