A wild and entertaining final three minutes saw the Minnesota Vikings come out on the losing end of a 29-26 decision in a cold and messy Baltimore.
Here’s what head coach Leslie Frazier had to say to the media after the loss to the Ravens.
“A lot of things that occurred in a short period of time, the conditions were tough for both teams, but the players competed and played hard throughout.”
On the Gerhart fumble in the first half that was upheld after replay: “They told me it was too close to overturn, our guys upstairs thought it was clear his knees were down.”
On the officiating: “There were a lot of things I thought could be called in that ballgame.”
On Matt Cassel: “Thought he did some good things, gave us a chance against a tough defense.”
On all of Minnesota’s close games this year: “When you look at the alternative, getting blown out in ballgames, you don’t want that to be happening. But these losses, you don’t practice this hard to come up short. It’s tough for our guys and our staff.”
On late-game defense: “Even on that last touchdown I thought we were in the right defense. We’ve been in position a number of times this year but unable to make that game-closing play. I don’t second-guess what defense we were playing on that last call.”
INJURIES:
“An update on Adrian (Peterson), it’s a right foot sprain, he’ll get an MRI tomorrow in the A.M.”
“Nothing on Rhodes (Xavier, who left the game in the first half with an injury), don’t have information on him.”
