Well, that was odd.
Leslie Frazier felt the same way about the Vikings tie with the Green Bay Packers, here’s what he had to say when he addressed the media postgame.
“Little different feeling coming into this venue and walking off the field with a tie. A really different feeling, bittersweet in a lot of ways. Proud of the way our guys battled on the road, continuing to fight and making plays in crucial situations.”
Does this feel like a win or loss? “We came in here to win this game, to walk off the field without a win, its a weird feeling.”
On the running game: “Adrian had a big day for us, and Toby came in when Adrian was a little fatigued and did a terrific job, he always does when he gets in the ballgame. To get our running game going was big.”
On Greg Jennings mindset in returning to Green Bay: “His mindset was where it needed to be.”
Can we finally put to rest the question of who will be the starter? “I’m glad you didn’t ask me that question…Christian played well.”
On Audie Cole: “Audie did a terrific job. Seeing how active he was and how in control he was of our defense, his performance was very good.”
On Xavier Rhodes: “He’s a long guy, and there were times today where his length helped him. I think he’s growing as a rookie in our league, he’s getting more experienced, understanding things a little better, it was without question his best game.”
“They (Vikings) fought throughout the ball game.”
Again asked on Ponder starting: “I don’t know why he wouldn’t. He did a great job of getting the ball to the right people. Did a good job of stepping up in the pocket when he needed to. He was much more in control.”
On Cordarrelle Patterson’s drop in the endzone: “Boy, it was so close. So close to getting it done.”
INJURIES:
“Had a couple guys that suffered concussions, Xavier Rhodes and Joe Webb, we’ll have to see what happens with them over the course of the week.”
“AJ Jefferson left the game with a neck injury, we’ll have to evaluate that as the week goes on as well.”
