Vikings coach Leslie Frazier says safety Mistral Raymond has a bone bruise in his right ankle, but tests show it’s not fractured and he didn’t suffer a high ankle sprain.
As a result, that means the injury isn’t season-ending and won’t require surgery.
But, according to the Star Tribune, Raymond will “miss some time.”
Frazier says in the meantime, Jamarca Sanford will start in Raymond’s absence.
Raymond was injured in the first quarter of Sunday’s win over the 49ers, turning his ankle while trying to tackle San Francisco’s Frank Gore.
